David wrote a review Oct Amazing stay - Covid safety. We spent two weeks in this paradise with my family!! Excellent and friendly staff especially the restaurant staff and Neff at the bar! Our room was on the second block with a view of the garden and the palm trees. Very clean! Only meters, from the beach but the hotel offers bus services from the hotel to the main road very often.
Great food and services! A safe place for my. Thank you very much for the nice stay!
. Read less. Dear DavidECA We would like to thank for choosing our hotel for your accommodations as well as for writing this excellent review as it is very important to us so that we can know our guests experience. We are more than happy to hear that you were satisfied with your stay and that we have exceeded your expectations with our services and staff as we try to do whatever is possible so that we can provide to our guests a unique experience and service despite the public health crysis and the hard measures and protocols that we are obliged to comply with Once again thank your for your kind words we hope to see you again in the future With Regards Eleftheria Hotel.
Stanislaw wrote a review Aug Good hotel, reasonanble prices. I spent here one week with my children and grandchildren. Air condtion was working fine, small refrigerator was sufficient for drinks and fruits. No plate, knife or spoon - I had to buy some cheap stuff in Synka. Long trip to village and beach, but I rent a car and problem disappeared. We took breakfasts in hotel, they are good.
Swedish table in Covid version was irritable. You should tell the waiter what you want and in what amount. Meanwhile next person is waiting behind your back Everyday I found enough food, meaning quality and quantity I like. I can recommend homemade quince confiture or mizithra plus minced tomato with a bit of basilicum.
Holidays in Crete are country hollidays for me, I don't need lifts, servants or high comfort.
This hotel has very good quality to price ratio, my choice was proper! Room Tip: rooms at low floor are not hot.
In building B we didn't hear or smell dinners. DEAR Galautomatyka We would like to thank you for your kind comments and review we are very excited to hear that everything was up to your expectations during your accommodation and it is very important for us that all of our guests to be satisfied during their stay because the staff and the hotel's management try their best to provide each and every guest a special stay with the best possible service during this public health crysis where we have to compromise with these difficult measures.
I would like to point out that if you had requested for knife spoon and plate we would have provided to you this happens for hygienic and sanitary reasons because we disinfect each and everyhting so that we can ensure our guest's health safety.
Thank for choosing our hotel for your vacation we hope to welcome you again! With Regards Eleftheria Hotel. Deanna A wrote a review Aug Coventry, United Kingdom 3 contributions 4 helpful votes. Nice hotel, bad location, questionable staff- please read.

Check in was quick and easy; when we arrived, we were told that we were staying in 'Building C'. I had been under the impression due to research on Trip Advisor that the hotel offered a concierge service, however this was not an option on check in. We were directed to the lift just off reception. It soon transpired that Building C was quite a treck away, up several flights of stairs in above 30 degree heat.
We approximated that there were stairs and, when we arrived at Building C, we were on an upper floor- not ideal with our 20KG cases! This was especially challenging due to the fact that there are no lifts inside Building C and nobody directed up towards the external ramps which would have made this journey with our cases maginally easier!
We were not happy on arrival. Another important thing to note is that we were only given one key for our room and there were three adults staying in the one room ; this meant we all had to leave or enter the room at the same time. Considering the hotel was mostly empty when we arrived, it seems ludicrous to me that we were put as far away from the main building as possible.
The room was clean but incredibly basic. We only received one pillow on our beds and there were no tea or coffee making facilities.
Taps were positioned badly and the shower head and curtain were constanstly in the way when trying to get ourselves ready. It was not really a room big enough for three adults.
I would also point out that the fridge smelt very badly of gone-off milk and everyhting we put in the fridge seemed to absorb the smell. I expected more from the 'Promotional' Double we paid for!

The balcony was small and the outside light didn't work. Because of COVID, the rooms were not being routinely cleaned throughout the week, although we did book a mid-week clean.
This was understandable but, apart from this one occassion, bins were not emptied, towels and toilet roll were not replaced and the sheets were not changed. The loation of the hotel is poor. It is up a steep hill which is dangerous to walk up at night as it is poorly lit and cars drive very fast down it. The hotel does operate a shuttle bus service throughout the day but we found the timings to be odd. Chania itself seems to be somewhat quiet and a bit run-down, although there are a selection of very nice restaurants on the beach front which is beautiful, a supermarket and smaller gift shops.

The pool of the hotel is lovely and clean. The pool is warm and there were always enough sunbeds, however I do not feel the hotel was full to capacity so this may change in higher season. The food and drinks at the pool bar was good quality and affordable- I was very impressed with the toastie selection, club sandwhich and pizza which were huge!
