Ang Roell Ang Roell, an organizational change consultant and professional beekeeper, will explore the connections between honeybees and humans through their presentation What Honeybees Can Teach Us About Shaping Change. Their favorite childhood explorations happened roaming the park near their house, while climbing trees and searching for bird and squirrel nests. Ang is inspired by collaborative ecological systems, Adrienne Maree Brown, their bee friend and mentor Sam Comfort, and the folks at Out in the Open Brattleboro, VTwho provide opportunities for gathering queer community in rural places.

They grew up in South Hadley, studied chemistry and Asian Studies at Mount Holyoke College and worked in pharmaceuticals before spending the last 15 years as a lab manager in the sciences at Hampshire College. They use their own lived experiences with invisible disabilities and neurodiversity coupled with their artistic practice to create spaces to explore and expand our collective wellness and resilience, demonstrating the Audre Lorde-in spired notion that wellness itself is a radical political act and creative expression is key to healing and liberating ourselves.
